"Humph.” Jeri still didn't really get it. “I do. They're traitors to their country. Somehow they were able to sit on the data long enough to tell their goddamned friends first and give them time to come after us, before notifying the proper authorities. I'd be willing to bet your friend in the hands of the government was reported by outside sources right from the start and captured quickly, though I still don't know which agency or sub-branch of an agency is holding him. I had to let someone in the government know about the leaks, soon, though, or I'd feel as guilty as they already were. I asked Jeri to slow down the repairs of my face but to keep the rest going if she could separate the two, and also to get back on the net and find the name of the specific agency holding that other Cresperian. I wanted to avoid falling into their hands! And I began to ruminate on two sources of possible help. One was the senator I'd mentioned to Lester and the other was an old military contact.
